The mandate of this project is to facilitate communication between Canadian Ukrainian community schools in order to enable sharing of resources and information.  Language Learning Strategy Object 2 - Now accessible via oomRoom.ca

UKiP-CA is proud to announce the launch of its second learning object in the area of Language Learning, Language Use and General Learning strategies. The strategy object provides instruction and learning log materials for five language learning strategies providing methods for learners to control and lower their level of anxiety.  Language Learning Strategy Object 1- Now accessible via oomRoom.ca

UKiP-CA is proud to announce the launch of its first learning object in the area of Language Learning, Language Use and General Learning strategies. The strategy object provides instruction and learning log materials for three language learning strategies and provides an introduction to general learning styles for students. This marks the completion of the first of five learning objects under construction as part of UKiP-CA’s Strategizer Project in partnership with Alberta Education.  UMANA Unveils New Web Site

The Ukrainian Medical Association of North America (UMANA) announces the unveiling of its new, upgraded and bilingual web site on June 1, 2006. UMANA, the largest Ukrainian American professional association in North America, welcomes visitors, both professionals as well as the general public, to the new homepage www.umana.org.
 

 Strategy Object 3 Development Session a Success

On April 24th and 25th, 2006 UKiP-CA hosted a development session to conceptualize our third Strategy Object for production. This third strategy object is one of a series of 5 Strategy Objects UKiP-CA has been contracted to implement by Alberta Education. Each Strategy Object will deliver task-based instruction for language learning, language use and general learning strategies as outlined in the Language and Culture Programs of Study in Alberta.  Alberta Ukrainian Learning Agency Takes Flight

On April 27, 2006 AULA, the Alberta Ukrainian Learning Association, was launched. With the support of the Government of Alberta, AULA will develop opportunities for Albertans to acquire Ukrainian language and cultural skills, by promoting in our province a culture of excellence in the teaching and learning of language and culture. Thus the agency will secure our province’s position on the world stage and international marketplace, by strengthening its positive
political and social impact on Ukraine itself. UKiP-CA is proud to be a member of AULA and recognizes the significance of the Association to furthering the sucess of Ukrainian language and culture learning in Alberta and around the world.
 

 Canada Ukraine Research Team Launches New Web site

On May 12th, 2006 CURT (Canada Ukraine Research Team), in partnership with UKiP-CA, launched its new web site www.canada-ukraine.org. This new web site features an online journal and information related to Special Pedagogy in Canada and Ukraine.
